Project Description

Lift Service and Maintenance

LONDON STADIUM

Commissioned in 2015 by the London Legacy Development Corporation, the party responsible for the London Stadium, Liftec was asked to undertake the maintenance of the 57 lifts and escalators at this high profile location.

Liftec’s first task was to thoroughly inspect and test each unit for its safe operation and reliability. This was undertaken to achieve tight operational timelines that would ensure all of the units were working and available for passengers visiting the stadium for the Rugby World Cup 2015.

Due to the importance of this event and planned future events, we arranged a comprehensive set of critical spare parts to be placed in store for rapid access by the Liftec Engineers who look after these units.

Liftec engineers are placed on standby at the stadium. This, combined with the critical parts availability, ensures that we are able to maintain interrupted transport for passengers at the venue.

Liftec’s contract with the London Legacy Development Corporation covers service, repairs, call-outs and stand-by cover at the London Stadium. Additionally, and understanding the requirements for security at popular locations and venues like this, where large volumes of the public congregate, we take great care to ensure that permits and clearances etc. are all in place, especially during prestigious events.
