On 24th September, the Liftec team hosted our Macmillan coffee morning which was very enjoyable, with plenty of fun games such as Guess the Bear’s name and How many sweets in the jar? played, and over 300 raffle tickets sold!
When it came to the tasty bakes, the team were spoilt for choice. A big thank you to all our team bakers who kindly donated their cakes and bakes, in support of such a worthwhile cause:
Sara, Mobility Supervisor – Cheese straws & a chocolate orange cheesecake
Garry, Repairs Manager – White chocolate cheesecake, mint aero cheesecake, raspberry coconut sponge & school cake
Daniella, Senior Bid Coordinator – Pesto sausage rolls, paprika sausage rolls, custard cream fudge, biscoff millionaire shortbread & mint aero tiffin
Ella, Service Manager Assistant – Cheese and bacon swirls, marmite and cheese swirls & bacon and cheese scones
Sheena, Service Manager – Lemon drizzle
Matt, Technical Manager – Cherry and walnut cake
Susie, HR administrator – Chocolate cake
Jodie, Service Manager – Rich chocolate cake with caramel buttercream
Jo, Service Manager Assistant – White chocolate and strawberry cheesecake
Liftec’s Star Baker of 2021 was our Service Manager Assistant, Gemma, with her delicious banana bread cake, cookies and Macmillan vanilla cupcakes. The winner of ‘How many sweets in the jar?’ was Brett (Service Manager), with a spot-on guess of 199 sweets, and Mish (Service Manager Assistant) won the ‘Guess the Bear Name’ competition with the name ‘Pepper’.
To finish off this great morning, we are all pleased to share that, following kind donations from our team, a total of £415 was raised, which was then generously doubled to £1000 by Liftec’s directors, making it our largest donation yet!
Thank you to everyone who took part in this coffee fundraiser, it was a brilliant turnout.
