Liftec has been proudly supporting and donating to Macmillan Cancer Support for several years, and has participated in the annual Coffee Morning to raise vital funds for people living with cancer.
Recently, on 30th September, we hosted the Macmillan Coffee Morning in our Head Office boardroom with Liftec team members present, and even some of our former employees stopped by for a good catch-up!
Yet another lively and eventful morning with a lot of tasty treats, enjoyable games including How many sweets in the Jar? and Guess the Bear’s & Dinosaur’s names and also, some great raffle prizes.
A huge thank you to our team of bakers who generously donated their delicious cakes and bakes for the morning:
Daniella – Aero rocky road, caramilk slices, sausage rolls and pesto cheese pinwheels
Sara R – Vanilla rainbow cake and cheese straws
Gemma – Vanilla cupcakes
Stuart – Chocolate brownies
Sara H – Lemon cheesecake and sausage rolls
Gareth – Scones with cream and jam
Matt – Donation of a Costco chocolate fudge cake
Some congratulations were in order, with Maggi as our ‘Guess the Dinosaur’ winner with the name Eric, Tony our ‘Guess the Bear’ winner with the name Honey and Nicola our ‘How many sweets in the Jar’ winner, with the closest guess of 193 (194 was the total!).
Of course, we can’t leave out our Star Baker, Sara R with her unforgettable Vanilla rainbow cake!
Altogether, the Liftec team raised £315.12 for the morning which was then kindly matched by our Directors, making our grand total £630.
