Housing some of the World’s most prominent automotive brands, including BMW, Rolls-Royce, MINI and BMW Motorrad, the BMW Group has over 20 manufacturing facilities across 15 countries. In the UK, the BMW Plants are in Oxford, Swindon and Birmingham, each having its own historic background.
A manufacturing environment of this kind requires fast-paced and consistent movement throughout the day, and cannot afford for it to be interrupted by an underperforming lift. To support BMW’s essential production demands, the Liftec Southern team has been providing preventative lift maintenance services across the three plants since March 2014.
Our maintenance contract relates to a combination of passenger lifts and goods lifts, used to reliably transport BMW parts as well as their staff and visitors.
BMW’s Oxford plant is the largest and oldest of the three, providing a specialist factory tour that welcomes thousands of visitors each year. Due to this and following our Client’s request, Liftec engineers prioritise the maintenance work at this site.
Additionally, a rapid response call-out service is also covered in the Group’s contract, to provide rapid reaction to any calls relating to a lift fault or potential entrapment.
