Project Description

Lift Maintenance

The famous Royal Albert Hall is a world-renowned iconic concert hall, located in the heart of Central London and well-known for stage performances by many of the world’s leading artists. It is also the home of the Proms.

In 2014, Liftec was awarded the annual maintenance contract for the Hall’s 8 essential passenger lifts. These lifts are vital to assist the high volumes of passenger flow during concert times and to ensure visitors are seated before each performance starts. The lifts travel over five floors, to and from the basement floor area for ticketholders to the fifth floor Gallery area.

During 2018, after our performance in maintaining the 8 lifts, Liftec was chosen to undertake a major modernisation project covering 6 of the Hall’s lifts. This included site-specific programming of the new lift controllers, to provide special functions to manage lift behaviour during live events.

To provide continuity for the Hall’s Building Services Management team, our team of London-based maintenance engineers are allocated specific rounds to ensure all parties are familiar with our work and employees.
