Project Description

Lift Maintenance

UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS SUSSEX NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

The Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals and Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trusts officially merged into the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust in April 2021, collectively including some of the UK’s most historic Southern hospitals.

The University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust has a mixed portfolio of lifts across its seven hospitals, which is made up of a range of passenger lifts, goods lifts and platform lifts to reliably and safely transport their hospital patients, visitors and 20,000 staff freely and the equipment needed to serve the wards easily within the multiple buildings.

For over 12 years, Liftec Southern engineers have been successfully maintaining the lifts managed by the Trust. Our consistent level of service along with competitive pricing has resulted in Liftec being awarded each renewal contract throughout the 12-year period. We are very proud of our continued relationship with the Trust which has resulted in a number of additional locations and lifts being added to our contract which now accounts for 91 units.

Our comprehensive lift maintenance contract with the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust relates to the following sites:

• Royal Sussex County Hospital

• Southlands Hospital

• Princess Royal Hospital

• Worthing Hospital

• St Richard’s Hospital

• Sussex Eye Hospital

• Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital

As with all our hospital clients, Liftec provides a 24-hour, 365-day emergency call out service across all UHSussex sites, to ensure that potential lift failures and entrapments are quickly attended to.
