Lift Modernisation
95 CROMWELL ROAD
South Kensington is not only home to luxury restaurants, affluent residential properties and prestigious museums, but also premium office space. Amongst this collection is the 5-storey 95 Cromwell Road which houses a range of corporate offices across the travel, healthcare and communications industries.
It is no surprise that with a city-centric commercial building of this kind, the conditions always need to be kept at a high standard. Many comprehensive refurbishment programmes have been completed at 95 Cromwell Road to achieve this, which most recently included upgrade works on their duplex pair of traction passenger lifts.
In September 2021, Liftec were appointed by the building’s lift consultants, J Bashford, to carry out the full modernisation of the two passenger lifts that had been experiencing various performance issues.
As part of the modernisation, our engineers installed new Sassi MF 84 machines, a Lester Controls ALMEGA II duplex control system, LIFCO lift cars, new COPs, Wittur door panels, Safeline autodiallers and Dewhurst car and landing buttons.
The project was completed in July 2022, following mandatory lift testing requirements, before returning the lifts to full service. 95 Cromwell Road’s passenger lifts are now performing to the exacting standards expected by the building’s owners.
