Lift Maintenance and Lift Modernisation
Located near Brighton, the University of Sussex is one of the UK’s leading public research-intensive universities. The University tutors over 14,000 students and has more than 2,000 staff members, to ensure education to highest of standards.
Liftec were awarded a comprehensive maintenance and modernisation contract for the 61 lifts in service at the University in 2005, after a successful tender process.
Since the award, Liftec’s local engineers operating in Sussex along with our Project Managers and have built up a long and successful relationship with the University’s Facilities Management Team. This has allowed us to retain the contract for well over a decade of which we are very proud.
Throughout the contract, we have undertaken various lifts modernisation projects across campus which includes new control systems and other major work, to ensure one of the lifts were fully compliment as a fire evacuation lift, as required by the BS 9999 standard.
To support the University’s need for lift availability, our local engineers provide a 24-hour, 365-day callout service.
